Beverley RUFC Thanks Quick and Clarke For Supporting Junior Rugby

Roger Spink from Beverley Rugby Club says it is great that local businesses are supporting junior rugby at the club.

Mr. Spink gave a special mention to local estate agents Quick and Clarke, who provided hoodies for the players, he said;

“Myself and the players would like to thank Richard Welpton from Quick and Clarke for sponsoring our U9s, U10s and U11s for our tour to Sutton Coldfield.”

“It is great that local businesses are keen to support the junior sections. Many thanks also go to Stuart Fenn of Panizzi, and Jason Spence of East Yorkshire Dental studios.”

“They both provided fantastic raffle prize and Bay Horse at Cherry Burton for organising a race night to help fund tour.”

The juniors took part in a rugby festival at Sutton Coldfield. They enjoyed success on the pitch with the U9s and U10s reaching the semi final.

Beverley’s U11s went one better beating Litchfield in the final by two tries to one to win the title.

While on tour the lads from Beverley also got to watch a game on at Moseley Rugby Club against Plymouth Albion.

Mr. Spink said the parents enjoyed great hospitality and the kids enjoyed watching a good standard of senior rugby, while dads enjoyed a few beers.

Back at Beaver Park Mr. Spink is keen to build on the publicity rugby is currently getting with the world cup, he added;

“There is a fantastic atmosphere here at Beverley in our junior section. We hope to build on the popularity of the rugby world cup at the club.”
