Hugh Rice Directors Named In List Of Top 100 Uk Jewellery Professionals

Three co-directors from East Yorkshire retailer, Hugh Rice, have been named recently in a list of the key movers and shakers from the UK jewellery industry.

Mike Rice, Danielle Rice and James Rice all feature in the Professional Jeweller ‘Hot 100’ list, which was officially celebrated at an event in London on 7th September.

The Professional Jeweller Hot 100 is an annual celebration of the 100 most impressive individuals from the UK jewellery industry that have showcased innovation, business development and design skills over the past 12 months. The 100 are listed under six categories – Trendsetters, Retail Stars, Business Big Shots, Brand Champions, Trailblazers and NexGems; the latter dedicated to new jewellery business and design talent based in the UK.

In a new twist for 2015, the Professional Jeweller editorial team launched Brand Champions, to highlight the work of sales directors and brand managers, as well as unsung industry stars. Elsewhere, Professional Jeweller offered a special Hot 100 2015 Commendation to the British Jewellers’ Association and National Association of Goldsmiths’ Unification Committee, who worked to ensure the successful merger of the two bodies to become the National Association of Jewellers earlier this year.

Each year, the Hot 100 list is kept entirely secret until the reveal party; with each chosen person photographed and interviewed for a luxury commemorative book released on the night.

The Hot 100 2015 was hosted by Professional Jeweller editor Sarah Louise Jordan, assistant editor Stacey Hailes and event director Andrew Martyniuk, who congratulated this year’s Hot 100 within the illuminated Art Deco surrounds of the Freemasons’ Hall Grand Temple. The event saw guests cheer and applaud their peers, colleagues and industry friends, who were revealed one-by-one in a special video reel.
