Beverley Move Second In East Riding County League

Beverley Town Reserves

Beverley Town Reserves made it two wins out of two and deserved the three points that takes them to second in the .

From the outset, Town got on top with Jordan Easter and Alex Stark both having chances.

As the first half progressed the Beverley looked most likely to score as they tested the visitors keeper on a number of occasions.

Beverley eventually took the lead when they were awarded a free kick on the edge of the box which Stew Scott placed into the bottom corner.

Ferriby had a great chance to equalise in the latter stages of the half but Harvey Spence put his header wide.

The second half was a tighter affair as Town could not create the chances they did earlier in the game.

Neither of the goal keepers were forced into saves as both teams fought it out.

Beverley Town captain Phillip Gardner hit the bar with a great chance to tie up the points but the win was finally secured when substitute fired home.

Next Saturday sees Beverley Town Reserves travel to Goole United Reserves.
