Winning Miss Great Britain Was The Most Amazing Feeling Says Zara Holland

says she only just starting to believe she is the new Miss Great Britain, describing the moment she was named the winner as “the most amazing feeling of my life”.

A director of local family business Mimi Boutique, who trade in the of Beverley, Zara said she worked really hard to win the prestigious title. Zara beat off competition from 50 ladies from around the UK to win the coveted award, at the finals which were held over two days in Leicester.

Speaking about her win she told HU17.net: “It was the most amazing feeling of my life. I didn’t except to win, but I did put my heart and soul into this.

“I was happy to of made the top 5, then I realised I won. I still didn’t believe it on Saturday. It’s only just starting to sink in now. It’s so amazing!”

Zara won the right to take to the stage in the finals after winning regional heats.

And the delighted champion not only walked away with the top prize, she won two other titles as well.

She continued: “As well as winning Miss Great Britain 2015/16, I also won the beach Body award and the Charity award. I raised over £3,000 for Cancer Research UK, which was the chosen charity this year.”

With the title in the bag, Zara is now looking forward to a packed schedule that will see the newly-crowned Miss Great Britain attend photoshoots and press calls.

Locally in Beverley, Zara has been a keen supporter of the community. The beauty queen has supported sports team the and more recently was at , where she was the co-presenter at Ladies Day.

When asked if she would continue to support local events Zara said: “Of course I will. I’m from Hull, and my loyalty is with the xity and the region. I want to do as many events I can do, and I want to be involved, so do get in touch if you have an event.”

In terms of her competing for more titles, Zara says she is setting her sights on Miss World that takes place next year. She said: “I have my mind set on that crown now too as well as planning a huge event to raise more money for Cancer Research UK.”
