RUGBY LEAGUE : Howdle Targets Top Four Finish

RUGBY LEAGUE : Howdle Targets Top Four Finish

ARLC return to action this Saturday against York Acorn ‘A’ following a fortnights rest. Beverley currently lie fifth in Yorkshire Division One in this their first season, winning just over half of their games.

There are just three games now to go and coach is determined to pick up maximum points and make this seasons new venture as successful as possible. Achieving fourth place would mean a place in the end of season top four play off.

Beverley’s opponents York Acorn currently are second in the table so the task in a tough one but Beverley did win the corresponding fixture earlier in the season at the Beverley Leisure Centre 20-14.

Beverley were able to field a strong side that day which has not always been the case this season as they have used almost 50 players since the start of the season. However, they believe that when they can field anything near a full-strength side that they can beat any team in the division which was proved when comprehensively defeating league leaders Mirfield 36-10 earlier in the season.

There was some good news in the camp this week. Adam Robson who sustained a serious injury in the Final way back on January 3rd, is now back in training and is hoping to play again next season. Adam had been a prolific try scorer and a popular player around the club up until the injury. Everyone wishes him well.

The bus will depart for players and supporters at 12.15 from the Hodgsons for a 2.30pm kick off at Thanet Road, York.
