Longcroft School Six Form Receive National Praise

are yet again celebrating after they received ‘national praise’ and are spending their second year ranked highly when comes to Sixth Form Education.

Having already celebrated a second year as one of England’s top 100 Sixth Forms based on the progress our students make between GCSE and A-Level, this week Longcroft received exciting information about two specific subjects, Law and Psychology.

who leads the Six Form at Longcroft School expressed his delight at the news, he said;

“I’m delighted that our provision both in Law, which has for many years been a strength of our Sixth Form and consistently earned outstanding results, and Psychology where there has been tremendous improvement in recent years is being recognised as being among the best in the country.”

Based on performance in all non-selective school sixth forms, students’ at Longcroft Psychology results were ranked 7th in England, while in Law they were ranked 22nd.

Only two other East Riding schools feature in the top 25 in any subject taken by Longcroft students at A-Level, and the school say they are again extremely proud of their students and their teachers who have worked exceptionally hard to secure such outstanding results.

Mr. Baker added;

“Our teachers and students deserve this recognition – they have worked exceptionally hard and shown great commitment.”

“These are exciting times for us as we enter a new era as Longcroft School and Sixth Form College, and while these subjects lead the way we have been in the country’s top 100 A Level providers for the last two years, with our provision considered to be ‘excellent’ as judged against nationally recognised criteria.”

“Yet again a large number of students have expressed an interest in joining us in September, and anyone else who is interested in doing so should contact me at the school.”

“I am sure our students will continue to earn excellent results and we look forward to more success and recognition in the future.”
