Nightingale Says Thirds Are Confident Ahead Of Big Game

Another week goes by another crucial fixture comes around for Cricket Club third team.

This week the undefeated South Holderness come to Norwood Park. South Holderness have had an excellent start to the season and comfortably dispatched a strong North Dalton side last week.

Vice captain Alex Nightingale commenting ahead of the big match said;

“Again this will be a tough test for us; South Holderness are a really strong side with some excellent players.”

“We need to make sure their key batsmen find it very difficult to score. Currently they have 3 players in the top ten for batting average which has laid the platform for their early season success.”

Despite the difficult fixture Beverley go into this round of the season in a confident mood. The third team have won three games on the bounce and will look to add a fourth at the weekend.

Beverley sit only ten points behind their opponents and will field a largely unchanged team this week.

There is only one notable change. Alan Acklam comes in and will add some tenacity behind the stumps and an aggressive batting option. Ben ‘Postman Pat’ Fish also comes back into the side.
