Local Monthly Produce Market Brings Tasty Treats To Beverley

The next local produce monthly market in Beverley will be held on Wednesday 17th June, from 9am to 3pm, in the area of the town.

With 20 stalls, selling a wide variety of the very best in locally produced food and drink, there will be treats to tempt every taste bud.

Stalls will include: liqueurs from Sloe Motion; handmade chocolates from White Rabbit Chocolatiers; smoked fish and poultry from Staal Smokehouse;  pies from Rose Cottage; Fabulously Fruity wines, Mr Nibble Nose cheese, macaroons from Patrick’s Macarons; bread and fruit juices from Side Oven Bakery; and chutneys and jams from Blueberry Hill Preserves.

The market is free to attend. It’s the third of six monthly local produce markets to be held in Beverley between April and September this year.

The Mayor of  Beverley , Cllr Peter Astell said;

“I  am looking forward to the next local produce market and hope that residents and visitors will come down to sample and buy some award winning local produce and complete the evaluation forms for a chance to win a wonderful local food hamper.”

“Visitors to the market on the 17th June will be able to enter a free prize draw to win some tasty local produce.”

“All they have to do for their chance to win is complete an evaluation form and hand it in on the day.”

“ A winner will be chosen at random and notified within 2 weeks of the market, and only one entry per household is permitted.”

Town Clerk, Ms added;

“This is our third local produce market and we have a fantastic variety of local produce on sale.”

“The midweek local produce market is becoming popular, it’s nice to see Wednesday Market full of activity during the week.”

“ We would be grateful if visitors will complete the evaluation forms on the day to let us know their views, it’s important to .”

Dates for next the local produce monthly markets, each held on a Wednesday, are:  17th June, 15th July, 19th August and 16th September.

The local produce monthly markets are being organised by Beverley Town Council, with support from the East Riding of Yorkshire’s High Street Fund, in a bid to regenerate the Wednesday Market area of the town.
