Beverley Rotary Club Donate Funds to St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice

Jim Logan, President of the Rotary Club of , made St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice his charity choice for his Presidential Year.

After a successful year of events, he was able to hand over a cheque for £1,200.

This amount was added to by , Landlord of the Dog and Duck Public House, who gave £500 pounds from events held in the pub on behalf of the club during the last 12 months.

Both the cheques were presented to , Hospice Representative at the recent President’s Evening held at Tickton Grange Hotel.

She said;

“We are very grateful to the Rotary Club of Beverley for their very generous donation to St Andrew’s Children’s Hospice.”

“We rely on voluntary donations, such as these, to ensure we can continue to supply the specialist care and services to the children of East Yorkshire, who have been diagnosed with a life threatening or life limiting condition.”

Mr McMullen said;

“St Andrew’s Children’s like all local charities are very worthwhile causes and we have been raising in the pub for the past five years overall.”

“With the quiz and bonus ball we do in the pub I always pick the presidents charity and make a donation to them from what we raise.”
