Bag Stolen From Lichfield Close While Occupant Slept Upstairs

Humberside Police

are urging Beverley residents to be vigilant when it comes to home security after thief sneaked into someone’s home while they slept.

In a statement released following the crime Humberside Police said;

“A thief snuck into an unlocked home as the occupant slept upstairs. The burglary happened at a detached property in Lichfield Close, Beverley, at 12.30am on Tuesday June 2.”

“The 25-year-old victim awoke the next day to discover a black trolley-style bag, containing a HP laptop, brown leather wallet, credit and debit cards, £40 cash and business cards had been stolen.”

“While inside the thief had also used keys found in the house to get into a car parked outside, taking a sat nav, Bluetooth ear piece and iPhone cabling.”
