COMPETITION : Beverley Campus Seek Name For New Restaurant

holding a competition as, they look to seek out a name for their all-new restaurant on the new campus.

The restaurant which will be open to the public is part of the £14 million development of the Beverley site within the new shopping and leisure park.

Hospitality tutor Paul Kennedy at East Riding College said;

“We would like a name which reflects the history of this part of Beverley, which takes in Beverley Minster, the friary and the town’s industry going back hundreds of years.”

“We are looking forward to getting into the new campus and serving great food to the regular customers we have known for several years and also the people who will discover the restaurant because of our new location.”

As with their current restaurant the Beverley campus, new restaurant will be run by students who are learning vital skills within the catering hospitality industry.

Serving lunch, evening meals, coffee and cakes to members of the public in a modern environment, while enabling learners to hone their skills creating dishes for and serving paying customers.

At the old Beverley campus, the restaurant is named after Longcroft Hall, the main building on the site and its hope original to members of the local community relevant name can be found.
Whoever does come up with the name of the new restaurant they stand to win a pamper day for two, a prize includes a wash and blow dry, two beauty treatments and lunch.

East Riding College will be relocating to the Flemingate site taking students for the first time in September 2015, and the old site will be redeveloped for residential use.
