Beverley Building Society Vote For MND Charity In Monthly Competition

Members of the have voted for The Motor Neurone Disease Association as their charity of the month.

The Motor Neurone Disease Association is a national charity with over 8000 members forming a powerful network that provides information support to sufferers of MD.

Throughout the UK the charity has over 3,000 volunteers who work alongside 140 paid staff all of whom are dedicated to improving the lives of affected by MND.

Andrew Hancock from Motor Neurone Disease Association visited the branch in Beverley to collect the £250 the charity been awarded.

Mr Hancock has been a volunteer for 16 years with the charity working tirelessly was sufferers of this disease in the Hull and East Yorkshire area.

Commenting on the donation Mr Hancock said;

“We are thankful to everyone at the Beverley building society and their customers for this kind and generous award.”

“The money will be used to support families carers as sufferers of this very cruel and fatal illness in the Hull and East Yorkshire region.”

Christine Hornshaw Marketing Manager of Beverley Building Society said;

“The Society is proud to continue to play a part in Beverley and East Yorkshire communities.”

“Supporting local charities each month and being able to donate funds to winning worthwhile causes chosen by our members, is one of the ways we can contribute.”
