Modern Programme For The County Choir Tickets Now On Sale

East Riding County Choir Entertain Packed Minster

Minster will again play host to the after they confirmed dates for the May performance.

Established in 1955 by Colin Wright the East Riding County Choir includes soprano, alto, tenor and base singers from across Hull and the East Riding.

Taking place on 2 May East Riding Choir will be performing two modern two modern choral pieces at their annual May concert in iconic Beverley Minster.

Debby Burman the East Riding Choir said;

“The works, composed by two living artists, are the Magnificat by John Rutter, and Gloria by Karl Jenkins.”

“Both are vibrant and lively using lots of exuberant percussion to augment the exciting orchestral accompaniment.”

The Gloria by Karl Jenkins is unusual because between the choral movements, there are readings from different faiths using Hindu, Buddhist, Taoist and Islamic texts.”

“These will be read in English by the Vicar of Beverley Minster, Reverend .”

Tickets will be available at the Beverley Tourist Information Centre from 15th April 2015.
