The blue and golds were left kicking their heels last weekend when the start to the season was delayed.
Their opponents Oulton Raiders pulled out of the fixture before Friday lunchtime, which under league rules means that it is re-arranged for later in the season rather than conceded.
The incident was a reminder of some of the teething troubles that the fledgling league may experience until things ‘bed in’.
Pat Howdle decided to put his charges through a training session last Saturday instead. This Saturday Beverley ARLC are at home to Milford Marlins 2.30pm at the Beverley Leisure Centre with a few new face likely to be on show.
They have confirmed new signings of in the shape of ex-Beverley Braves Ash Rout, Sam Roe, Dominic Harrison and also Matt O’Neil.
A couple more signings are likely to be confirmed soon in a busy fortnight of recruitment.
