A total of 97 members played in the non-qualifying medal on Saturday, with the highlight being another great performance from Peter Robson.

Peter, who has seen his handicap drop from 16 to 9 in the last two years, shot a fantastic 65 to win the 1st Division. The Norton brothers, Rich and David, finished second and third respectively, with Rich also posting the lowest gross of the day with a 66.

In the 2nd Division Paul Atkinson was disappointed to bogey the last three holes, although he still managed second place, while in the 3rd Division it was good to see new member Richard Plews shoot the lowest net score of the day with a 64.

Lynn Bray carded a birdie on the 11th hole and pars on 2, 4, 8 and 16 to help her team to victory In Tuesday’s Waltz. It was really no surprise to see Lynn in the winning team as she has consistently been in or around the prizes in many recent competitions.
