Beverley Arts Trust Present Albert Lee and Hogan's Heroes

Following last year’s brilliant show at Hessle Town Hall, Beverley Arts Trust are delighted that Albert Lee and Hogan’s Heroes will return to the same venue on Wednesday May 6th

This is likely to be the last performance by the band at this intimate venue for the foreseeable future as the band have decided, that after this spring 2015 tour, they will take a break from their hectic European touring schedule to allow the individual band members to pursue solo projects

Albert Lee needs no introduction to country and rock fans and is best known for his unique musical style and blindingly fast hybrid picking technique. He is often referred to within the music industry as the “guitar player’s guitar player,” and is renowned for his work across several genres of music and for the respect that he has garnered from other industry giants. It is widely quoted that is on record as stating that Albert Lee is, in his opinion, “the greatest guitarist in the world.”

Over the course of a very long career Albert has worked with countless musical greats. As well as Eric Clapton and Emmylou Harris, these collaborations include work with the Everly Brothers, Dolly Parton, Joe Cocker, plus continuing to work with Bill Wyman in the Rhythm Kings

This will be a not to be missed opportunity to see one of the world’s best guitar players in this intimate venue, and to make the evening even more special, support will be provided by award winning Canadian singer songwriter Lynne Hanson. Lynne has been very favourably compared to the likes of Lucinda Williams and Rosanne Cash, and describes her music as ‘porch music with a little red dirt’

Tickets for this show, priced at just £17 are now on sale and are available from the Beverley Tourist Information Office on (01482 391672) from the Trust directly on 07969 457382 or on-line at www.wegottickets.com
