Gemma Atkinson from is a nominee who is now in the national voting stage.

This year, the awards are bigger than ever, covering 22 different categories ranging from Best Pre/ Post Natal Activity to Best After School Club. For the 3rd year in a row the awards are taking place across the globe – in , Ireland and the UK – and there has once again been an increase in the number of nominees so to get this far is a great achievement.

My Baby Can Dance in a weekly session which combines movement to with activities, singing and musical instruments, numbers, colours, phonics and shapes also looking at topics such as the world around us. Gemma bought the East Yorkshire franchise in May 2013 and it has grown from strength to strength, with classes now in Beverley, Brough, Driffield, Goole and Pocklington.

One of the biggest strengths that My Baby Can Dance aims to achieve is the learning path of its syllabus. The way the program is presented, children pick up and learn the method very quickly but mainly what they have learned within the session is taken into home and repeated. This enables the retaining and remembering in very young children which is the primary aim of the class.

Gemma Atkinson from My Baby Can Dance said:

“I cannot believe that when I took my son to this class at 10 months old in March 2013, how much it would change my life.”

“I am so overwhelmed that I am now in the running for a national award for doing a job that I love. I am so grateful to my customers for the nomination, it’s a pleasure to teach your little ones every week.”

Each and every children’s activity, party venue, entertainer and volunteer from throughout the country had the opportunity to be nominated and the number this year reflects the support from the nations’ parents for these exciting awards and their eagerness to reward the very best!
