Inter Beaver Have The Final Say As They Win The Derby

Inter Beaver manager Michael O’Connell says his side deserved all three points after they beat local rival the Humber Colts 4-3 at Longcroft School.

Speaking to HU17.net after the O’Connell said;

“There is no question we were deserved winners on the day. I was a little annoyed we didn’t take more of the chances we created and we had plenty of them. Andrew Stott was a different class and totally unplayable.”

While Inter may have won the match is was the Colts who took lead early on through Keiran Backhouse after dominating the early stages of the game.

The game however was brought to a standstill after Daniel Atkinson was involved in class that left the small forward flat out on the pitch.

Inter soon got a grip on the game with Luke Thompson proving to be a handful but still Inter lacked any bite in front of goal. They did finally get back on level terms when Adam Foster slipped the ball back across goal for Alex Stark to slot home.

Inter soon got their noses in front when Stark scored his second of the game giving the visitors a lead for the first time in the match.

Inter extended their lead further when Andrew Stott got his first of the game. The Colts however battle back. Mark Richardson got on the end of a pin point pass from Tom Moore to reduce the lead just single goal.

Moore though he had earn his side a point when he levelled the match with an extremely well calculated lob to beat Inter keeper Mike Morris.

However there was to be one more twist in the game when Stott with just minutes left completed his brace to secure all three points for Inter.

O’Connell added;

“It is always nice to win derby games. Looking at the Colts league position this could well be the last one for a long time.”
