Many East Riding Libraries will be offering a chance to join in the magic of the first ever Harry Potter Book Night on Thursday 5 February from 6pm-7pm, in association with Bloomsbury.
This exciting free event for children aged 7-11 will be a chance for new and existing fans to share the wonder of J.K. Rowling’s unforgettable stories.
Libby Herbert, libraries, archives and museums service manager, said:
“Pass through Platform 9 ¾ and enter a world of enchanting activities. Be sorted by the Sorting Hat, decorate your house badge and tie and be a ‘wanted wizard’.
Then, help Hagrid on a hunt for his escaped Magical Creatures, and conjure up your own spell. All participants will receive a certificate from Hogwarts Headmaster Professor Dumbledore. Fancy dress is encouraged – bring your own wand!”
Places are limited and can be booked by contacting Beverley Library.
