Beverley welcome Cleackheaton from West Leeds to Beaver Park this Saturday for their National 3 North fixture this weekend buoyed by last weeks trip to .

Having leaked 40 points too easily in the first 50 minutes, Beverley came back to within a whisker of taking another bonus point and possibly a much needed win had the referee not blown 2 minutes before time was up on the clock.

A youthful pack that made that trip could feel hard done by if not selected this week as a number of experienced players return from injury and/or are available for selection. Director of Rugby, Junior Tupai commented;

“We were naive for the first 10 minutes of each half last week and really lacked experience at those crucial times but what they lacked in experience they more than made up for it in enthusiasm and that showed with how we finished the game.”

“They were clinging on at the end and we could possibly count ourselves unlucky not getting another bonus point but you look at those lapses in concentration and that tells another story.”

“But credit to the young pack to step up who showed courage in the loose and tight. We can welcome back a few players this week which will had some steel to our pack and a blend of youth to temper that enthusiasm then we should be well balanced to put out a good performance this week.”

Beverley could possibly have David Worrall and Antony Maka in the backrow and returning from injury which leading into this weeks game will be a big boost for .

Tupai continued;

“No doubt about it that having those guys back will be great but it’s just trying to get that balance right for us this weekend after last weeks pack staking a claim for their jumpers. We need to do what’s best for the team and what is the best team to go out this week and help us get our second win of the season”

Beverley will be looking to target these next two games after last weeks showing with , like Cleakheaton were the two promoted teams from last season however sit 6th and 9th respectively with Beverley propping up the table in 14th place.
