Council Say They Expect Significant Disruption During Resurfacing Works In Beverley

As work continues on the Integrated Transport Plan, is advising motorists of the latest areas where major improvements are to be carried out.

• Grovehill roundabout: resurfacing work will be carried out at the new junction by the council’s contractor Balfour Beatty, using four-way traffic signals, between 09.30 and 15.30 from Monday 3 November until early December. Holme Church Lane will be closed daily between 09.30 and 15.30 whilst the works take place.

• Figham Junction to Figham roundabout: resurfacing of the new junction will take place by the council’s contractor Balfour Beatty, using three-way traffic signals, from Wednesday 12 November for two weeks, between 09.30 and 15.30.

“We do expect significant disruption whilst the Grovehill and Figham junction works take place, and we are advising drivers to find an alternative route if possible, or make allowances for the delay when using the A1174 Hull Road.”

“This latest resurfacing continues our co-ordinated sequence of work at several locations in the town, which will ultimately bring many improvements for motorists.”

“By planning the work in this co-ordinated sequence, and by giving advance notice, we are hoping that motorists will be able to plan their journeys accordingly. We do of course apologise for any inconvenience caused by delays arising from this work.”

“After the completion of the Integrated Transport Plan, we are confident that motorists will see huge improvements in their journeys across Beverley, and we thank people for their continuing patience and understanding.”
