Duboulay Back For Beavers Trip To Sheffield

make their way down to South Yorkshire this weekend having secured their first win of the season last week against Burnage.

A similar lineup to the one that took Lymm all the way to the wire the previous week proved dividends with combinations looking more settled and the game plan gaining more clarity each week.

The Beavers head to Sheffield having identical records of played three, two losses and one win for their six league points. The men from East can go into this week with confidence having beaten Burnage, who incidentally beat Sheffield in the first week of the season.

Director of Rugby, commented;

“Saturday’s performance was pleasing, more so in the nature of how we stuck to our guns and ground out the win. Our feet are well and truly still on the ground as we know the threat that the Tigers pose this week.”

Sheffield have spent the last three seasons in National North Two taking the third relegation spot last season instead of Hull.

Tupai continued;

“They’ll have that hardness already dropping down to this level so we need to be ready for that. We have worked on a lot in training this week on set pieces and if we can iron out those issues then I’m sure we can get our first win on the road”.

The Beverley squad has the chance to give some more players exposure to this league with some unavailability of key players but welcome back Antony Maka and Club Captain, , who will lead the team out for the first time this league season.

Squad selected from: J Fell, K Renwick, A Ogilvie, M Adams, B Watson, D Brant, L De Silva, A Maka, C Cone, P Duboulay, A Smith, S Atiola, R Bussey, B Revell- Jones, J Gill, J Bunn, J McKay, R Monk, O Clegg, D Worrall, L Starbuck
