Police Appeal After More Cars Vandalised In Beverley

Humberside Police

Thousands of pounds of damage has been caused to 10 cars that were parked on the road side on and Mintfields Road overnight on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 September 2014.

Residents awoke to find their cars scratched through to the metal. One had their rear windscreen wiper broken off, and another had the wing mirror broken off.

In one night eight cars on Holme Church Lane and two on Mintfields Road were targeted.

Anyone found causing damage to vehicles will be severely dealt with and placed before the courts.

Beverley’s Police-Community Support Officer, Stephen Cheung said: “This is a mindless act of criminal damage to hard-working residents who simply parked their car overnight on the road.

“The offender may be a resident of the estate, and someone will know who that person is. I am appealing for anyone who knows the culprit to come forward so that we can hold them to account.

“Anyone found causing damage to vehicles will be appropriately dealt with and placed before the courts.”

Anyone who can help the police is asked to contact the non emergency number 101 quoting log 326 of 21 September.
