is hosting a talk by Neil Hutty on the East Riding Yeomanry, known as ‘Wenlock’s Horse’. In contrast to many other regiments, the Yeomanry were active in the Middle East during the .

Over the last 15 years, Neil has amassed a large collection of memorabilia, medals and archive materials, giving him a huge insight into the Yeomanry. His research was inspired by the memories of his grandfather who served with the regiment in the Second World War.

Neil will share his knowledge, talking about the regiment’s formation through to the end of the First World War. The event takes place on Thursday, 4 September at 6.30pm, at the Treasure House, Champney Road, Beverley.

Tickets are £5 and can be purchased by calling 01482 392699 Monday to Friday. They are also available from the Beverley Treasure House Research Room during opening hours, as well as on the evening of the talk if spaces remain.

This talk accompanies the Beverley Treasure House’s First World War exhibition ‘Cavalry, Camels and Camaraderie: The East Riding Yeomanry in the Great War’ which is on until Saturday, 20th September.
