Unemployment In Beverley And Holderness is At a Record Low Says MP

Member of Parliament for and Holderness, Graham Stuart has visited expanding vehicle body manufacturers, Martin Williams (), based in Burstwick to celebrate rising growth and falling unemployment in Beverley and Holderness and across the UK.

Commenting about the visit Graham said,

“Last week the International Monetary Fund declared the UK as the fastest growing economy within the G7 developed nations which include America, France and German.”

“This upturn in the UK economy is down to the hard work, dedication and ultimate success of companies like Martin Williams (Hull).”

“Unemployment in Beverley and Holderness is running at a record low of 2.5% of the working age population and it is always great to hear about businesses expanding and creating more jobs in the local area.”

Director of Martin Williams (Hull), Chris Williams said,

“I was pleased to show Graham around our new site on Saturday, we have recently expanded, taking on 30 new staff and 6 apprentices and still have a few posts left to fill.”

“I initially made contact with Graham about a problem we had with our expansion and was delighted when he said he would like to come for a visit to hear more about the .”

Graham concluded,

“This Government’s long term economic plan is working and it’s good to hear about examples of local growth as well as celebrating the latest national figures.”
