New Gift Shop Promises Fresh Ideas For Local Shoppers

Emma Sugden’s new Bel Regalo is already a proving a hit with shoppers in Beverley since opening her doors less than a month ago.

Located in the Georgian Quarter Bel Regalo offers a good range of quality gifts and promises a new approach to shopping in the town centre.

Emma who spent the past 12 years working for the prison service says she has always wanted to open a gift shop and feels Beverley is the perfect location for her new venture.

Speaking to .net Emma said;

“I have Always been interested in gifts. It is nice to look at around gift shops and buy things for somebody.”

“For me personally there has been a desire to have a gift shop. I chose Beverley as it is the perfect location, it is a nice and friendly place with a wonderful atmosphere.”

“Having lived in , I used to come to Beverley a lot so I feel I know the town and delighted to finally have a shop in the centre of this popular town.”

Products on the shelves at Bel Regalo includes a number of brands such as Rufus Rabbit, Stone Glow Candles, Grumpy Owl and Feathered Friends.

Commenting about the goods, Emma said;

“We have a excellent selection of gift cards. We have your regular birthday cards and ones for new home, new job, general and decent collection house ware things too.”

Although Emma has the brands, she is keen on keeping things fresh by bringing in new stock on a regular basis, she said;

“In terms of stock I plan on changing things on a monthly basis. I will be bringing in more stock and different brands. I want to keep the products flowing so we are not displaying the same things in the shop.”

“I will have a few brand names but not will concentrate on specific ranges. The idea is to constantly change things as people get bored with seeing the same things over and over. So when they can come into the shop, they see new fresh ideas.”

“It is like the canals. We will do a summer range and range. We are also looking at bringing in fresh brands from America, so we will always have something new and different for the shoppers.”

People have been quick to let Emma know their thoughts on her shop, she said;

“Customers so far have been very positive, saying the shop is nice, and that they will keep coming back. There are a lot of shops in Beverley but few that are as unique as this one.”

“Clearly people would like to see more unique shops like this open in the town. They want to see more household goods on my shelves.”

Bel Regalo is open Monday to Saturday 9-5 – you can find the shop on Facebook and are currently developing their web site to take the store online.
