Rebels Smokehouse : A Year Of Success For American Style Dining In The Town

Rebels Smokehouse are celebrating a one year of trading in Beverley and say they have created a beast.

The American style restaurant that was formally Dine on the ROWE it closed then re-branded and re-opened in July 2013, and they say they are helping boost visitor numbers to high street with tantalising menu.

Angela Trickett speaking to HU17.net said;

“Rebels Smokehouse has been going for twelve months now, and business has been fantastic. I think we have created a beast here in the heart of Beverley.”

“Since making the change to being a Smokehouse, we have seen a massive increase in numbers through our doors and are now looking at expanding the business into other areas.”

“Many of the customers come from outside of Beverley. They tend to be those that have a disposable income aged 25-30 with many of them coming from Hull.”

“We feel our presence here on the high street in Beverley is not only good for us but also for other businesses as, we are helping increase footfall into the town centre.”

Chef Jason Rowe who ha s passion for food and all things local insists despite the changes they continue where possible to promote local produce.

He added;

“All our meat is still purchased locally and anything else we can buy from local suppliers we do. The concept may be to stack it high on the plate but our values when it comes to food and buying local remain the same.”

Part of their success has be the ever-changing menu. They are constantly evolving the business adding new burger every week in response to customer demands.

Another area of growth for the Butcher Row based restaurant is the take-away service, Angela added;

“Over the coming months we are going to make a conscious effort to promote this part of the business.”

“Take away collection service means people can either come in or phone up and order one of our burgers for lunch.”
