Business owner Lee Frost has again this year donated a BMX bike that will be raffled off to help raise money for the charity SSAFFA that supports service personnel, past and present and families.
Lee who is passionate about supporting the local community, and the events held in Beverley told HU17.net;
“We are very happy to be able to donate a bike to the event. I hope it helps raise some money for what we all feel is a worthwhile cause.”
“Beverley Car & Cycles have been a long-standing supporter of Armed Forces Day, and we will continue to support them going forward. Given we have a big training camp close to the town we like to what we can to support the brave people who serve their country.”
Visitors to the sixth Beverley Armed Forces Day will have the chance to win the Mongoose Logo bike by purchasing a raffle ticket from the SSAFA stall at the event.
“I hope whoever wins will be pleased with the bike. We have selected a unisex style and coloured bike. Cycling is a great way to have fun, and once you have all the equipment is fantastic free past time or hobby.”
Organiser of the event David Elvidge said;
“SSAFA East Yorkshire is extremely grateful that for the sixth year running Lee, and his team has supported us with a major prize for our raffle, which as always will take place at Beverley Armed Forces Day.”
“To stand a chance to win this fantastic brand new BMX, please come along and buy a ticket from our stall that will be outside The Grapes.”
“All the money raised will be used to support Veterans and their families within the East Riding of Yorkshire.”
