Minster’s Medieval Ministrels Inspiration For New-Look Pizzaexpress In Beverley

PizzaExpress is celebrating the launch of its exciting new-look restaurant in Beverley on 24 June.

Situated at North Bar Within, this relaxed and family friendly restaurant has been refurbished with an interior décor paying tribute to near-by historic .

Each PizzaExpress restaurant is individually designed – often using well known places, people or historical events from the area as the basis.

The characterful Medieval Ministrels found inside the magnificent Beverley Minster have become the source of inspiration behind the new artwork, which runs through the restaurant. Pendants and canvases focus on the distinctive Rose Window, another structural element found in the north and south transepts of the Church.

PizzaExpress has been dishing up fresh, handmade pizza to Beverley since 1998 and has a fantastic menu including a delicious new range of seasonal treats with a Leggara Summer Salad at just 315 calories; two summery desserts, a Strawberry and Cream Glory and Lemon and Blueberry Glory; and The Hugo – a refreshing cocktail made with Prosecco, mint leaves, elderflower and a slice of lemon over ice. PizzaExpress has also introduced even more gluten-free choices to its menu.

Also available at Beverley is a new Express Lunch menu offering quick, tasty and great value lunch options to eat in or take away. Among the range of delicious dishes are soups, salads, perfectly proportioned pizzas and Piadinas – bread pockets that are made using PizzaExpress’ famous dough and filled with fresh ingredients.

For younger pizza-lovers, PizzaExpress’ Piccolo menu is full of tasty choices including ‘Create Your Own’ pizza. And for budding chefs looking to celebrate a birthday, a Pizza Making Party will see them transformed into pizzaiolas (or chefs) so they can stretch, toss and top their own pizza and play a game before sitting down to enjoy their culinary creations.
