UKIP Targets Labour Seats In Yorkshire

is targeting Labour seats in Yorkshire in the European elections – and have brought the fight to ’s back yard.

Unveiling the third wave of eye-catching bill board posters in the party’s European election campaign UKIP deputy leader Paul Nuttall said that the campaign was now focusing on the cost of living..

The two new posters graphically highlight the extra cost that EU membership brings to both energy and food bills.

“We are unveiling these posters in Ed Miliband’s constituency as he talks about the cost of living yet he remains fully signed up to the club that wants us to remain in the European Union. And that pushes up the cost of food for every household in the country to the tune of £400 a year.”

Speaking in Bentley – in the heart of the Labour leader’s North Doncaster constituency – Mr Nuttall, MEP, continued, “Through the Common Agricultural Policy and tariffs they stop us trading with the rest of the world and bringing in cheap food.

“People in Yorkshire, like elsewhere, are struggling to make ends meet. Wouldn’t it be better to be outside the EU where people can get cheaper food?”

Referring to the second poster about energy costs Mr Nuttall, pointed out that people are paying £112 a year extra a year through green and EU targets.

“We are now taking votes in the North of England from because they see UKIP is the party will stand up for working men and women.

“That is why we will get three MEPs elected in Yorkshire next week,” he added.
