Beverley Town Cricket Club Ladies started the 2014 season with a convincing win over Treeton Ladies. Hannah Matthews led the way with three wickets removing the top order with ease.
There was good support in the opening overs from Amy Halloran with three maidens but it was Beth Smith who took the bulk of the wickets finishing with 5 for 11 mopping up the tail.
In reply Beverley openers, skipper Sarah McDowell (40no) and Beth Smith (29no) wasted no time in reaching the required total in quick time.
Next week maybe different as they travel to Bradford and face several Yorkshire players.
