Boys Make 'The Bowl' Final at the Driffield Festival

The next game against Selby was a tougher one. Oliver Scanlan’s tackling stood out and he also scored ’s only try. Harvey Wilkinson showed strong tackling and is fitting in well in the backs. Oshi Hopson ripped good ball in the rucks. But this game was lost due to missed tackles. Final Score: Beverley 1 Selby 2.

Those two victories got the boys into the semi-finals and a tough game against Hullensians. This will be remembered for a brillant running try from Oliver Vaux and a great tackling game from all of the boys, particularly Tom Jackson, Oshi Hopson and Oliver Eagle. The ‘Bowl’ final against Scunthorpe was a tough game. The boys tackled fiercely, but Scunthorpe were brilliantly organised, particularly in the backs, where quick and skillful offloads brought them try after try. made some impressive runs in this game. Oliver Rogers’ determination was rewarded with a try. Another try for Oliver Scanlan. Final Score: Beverley 2 Scunthorpe 5.
