Local football team the Capital Crusaders expressed their gratitude to customers and staff at Morrison’s Supermarket, Beverley after the team raised over £500 packing bags.
The side who play in the Hull Boys Sunday Football League are enjoying a good season on the pitch and are currently in second place in the Kingston U15s table.
Ashley Godber, Club Treasurer said;
“It was a great team effort by the lads and their parents and has helped us raise £575.10”
“We would like to thank Morrison’s Beverley for giving us this opportunity and their customers for being so generous.”
“All the lads really enjoyed it as well and so it has been a win-win situation all around.”
Money collected by the players and their parents will be used to purchase equipment and playing kits.
