Entries for the 2014 Beverley 10k road race, organised by Beverley Athletic Club and sponsored by Hall Construction Group, open on Saturday 1st February.
There are 1400 places available for this year’s race, which is now in its 21st year. The event will take place on Sunday 11th May, at 11.15. Last year all places were sold out within 3 days, so make sure you get your entry in early!
The Beverley 10k is a very popular and friendly race. It starts by Beverley Minster, then passes under North Bar before heading out over the Westwood towards the village of Walkington.
The route then returns via Saturday Market and the impressive finish along Toll Gavel and into Wednesday Market. The race is always very well supported with cheering crowds lining the last few hundred metres to the finish.
There is also a 2k Fun Run on the same day, sponsored by B&A Scaffolding. The Fun Run begins at 10.15 from Beverley Leisure Complex, and all finishers receive a medal. There are 300 places available.
