Tickton School Crossing Petition Handed To Council By Parents And Children

Councillor , Parents and Children will be handed over a petition of 700 signatures calling for a Road Crossing to Councillor John Wilkinson Chairman of Environment and Regeneration Committee on the steps of The , County Hall on Monday.

Councillor Birmingham said:

“The children of C.E Primary School have shown tremendous initiative as part of their lifestyle project by campaigning for a road crossing outside their school on Main Street. Jack Marshall, Ben Vokes and Daniel Ellerington have single handedly collected over 700 signatures and presented their project to the Parish Council.”

“As their Ward Councillor I am more than happy to support this campaign and hand over this petition to the Environment and Regeneration Committee.”

Ben Vokes, Pupil at the school said:

“Daniel, Jack and I have had such a fantastic summer working on this campaign with the help of Councillor Bradley Birmingham and MP Graham Stuart. We are so pleased at the amount of local support and we really hope the council listen to us so we can all cross the road to school safely together.”
