Toes Celebrates First Yorkshire Call Up With Victories

Beverley squash player Zac Toes celebrated his first call up to the U13 Yorkshire Squad with three fine victories at the Inter County Championship’s First Stage in Durham at the weekend.

Toes cruised to a 11-7, 11-4, 11-2 victory against his host county Durham opponent before following this up with victory against the higher ranked Aiden Raine (Cumbria) in his second match 11-7, 12-10, 11-9.

In the deciding fixture against Northumbria, Toes got his team off to a flying start by defeating Dan Neill 11-6, 12-10, 11-6 which helped Yorkshire seal a first stage win in the Northern section of the event.

Both Toes and his Yorkshire team mates will be hoping to progress in Stage 2 of the event in November with the aim of reaching the National finals at Lilleshall in January 2014.
