Walkington Pet Supplies Business Expands Into The Wolds

Walkington based Trophy Pet Foods is opening a new store this weekend in Middleton-on-the-Wolds as they look to expand their business and also create new jobs.

A local business it is owned and run by husband and wife Mike and Marie Dickenson, they told HU17.net about the expansion;

“We feel we have reached our capacity in Walkington, at the moment we are pulling in customers from Hull, Beverley and Cottingham.”

“With this move we are looking to grow our customer base by attracting new business from Driffield and Market Weighton.”

In the UK alone it is estimated there are around 8 million cats and 8 million dogs with around 46% of population sharing their homes with one or two pets.

The most popular pets kept are fish with over 50 million kept in tanks and in ponds up and down the country. Other popular choices include Horse and Ponies, birds and Rabbits.

Trading for the past seven year’s Trophy Pet Foods new shop will open this Saturday, it trade six days a week from Tuesday through to Sunday.

The new premises is bigger than the one in Walkington and offers plenty of parking for customers.

Stocking a range of foods for all types of pets and animals along with a massive section of accessories they added;

“We have everything you need under one roof, from frozen through natural foods and a good specialist animal food.”

When asked if Trophy Pet Foods would be doing any special offers to mark the opening Mike said no as they have always offered good quality at competitive prices!
