Nine of Beverley’s junior runners and two senior men travelled to Acklam, near Middlesbrough, to compete in the 1st of the North Yorkshire/South Durham Cross Country League races for 2013/2014.
All ran really well against strong competition on a challenging, hilly course. Harry Powell’s win in the U17 men’s race is particularly noteworthy – he finished almost a minute ahead of his closest rival. Nicole Dawson also did very well, finishing second in the U20 women’s race.
