Town Look To Keep Pressure On Reckitts In HPL Title Race

Beverley Town FC will look to keep the pressure on Humber Premier League leaders Reckitts AFC in their 2pm kick off this afternoon.

The champions host Crown FC at the and start the game five points behind their title rivals.

Manager David Ricardo is only well aware that Crown will be no push over as he comes face to face with the only side to beat his team last season in the league.

Speaking ahead of the game Ricardo said;

“We have a really tough game ahead of ourselves with our opponents, Crown FC, inflicting our only defeat in the league all season last year.”

“However I know with the squad we have put together have nothing to fear from any of our opponents.”

Town performance against Bridlington was less than convincing, the gaffer had a few choice words with players, he said;

“We played badly in last weeks 7-3 win against Sports Club and a few things were said in terms of what the coaching staff expect of the players at all times.”

“The one aspect that makes the squad stand apart from others is that they have the ability to listen and take on board the instructions we give them week in and week out.”

“This is our first home Saturday fixture of the season which feels strange as the season started back in early August.”

“It will be great to see so many familiar and hopefully new faces down to the support the lads.”

Beverley will be hoping Hornsea Town can do them a favour and take some points of Reckitts who have won all seven of their games so far this season.
