Beaver's Coach Optimistic Ahead Of Clash With Percy Park

This weekend will take to the road as they travel to North Shields to play Percy Park RFC.

Off the back of their great win at Beaver Park on Saturday that saw Beverley destroy Penrith, the Beaver’s will head into the match with Percy full of optimism.

Percy Park has not enjoyed a good start to the season. They have failed to register a win in either of their two fixtures against Waterloo and Westoe.

Head Coach Anthony Posa speaking ahead of the weekend’s game said;

“I understand that Percy Park have been forced into re-shuffling their squad from last season, and they are still in the process of settling down with their new contingent.”

“I know from experience that this can take time. We found that out with our disjointed display at Morley two weeks ago, and we bounced back with vengeance last Saturday against Penrith.”

“The same could happen to us at Percy Park, and I will be doing my uppermost to ensure that it does not.”

“We have to make one or two changes this week due to the unavailability of Dave Worrall and Alex Keeton, but we have a little more strength in depth in the squad this year, and I have some options to work with.”

“I will finalise the team and make my selection after the final training session later this week.”
