The charity event is to raise awareness of Down ’s syndrome while hopefully raising funds to support the work of the Down’s syndrome Association.

The riders, lead by Annie Stewart, will make their way to Coastguard Station raising funds along the way.

Members of the Hornsea Coastguard Rescue Team are holding an open day to help support the event.

The station will be manned between 12.00 pm and 4.00 pm to welcome the riders and members of the public.

Refreshments and a raffle will take place along with the opportunity to speak to members of the team and have a look at some of the equipment that the team uses.

A number of small demonstrations have been planned to take place throughout the afternoon to show how some of the equipment and the team works. The station is operational so demonstrations are dependent on team availability.
