Hodgsons FC had a bad start to their new season as they were beaten 4 -1 at the Beverley Leisure Centre by Eddie Beedle AFC.
The Tanners were found themselves 2 – 1 down at half time and despite their best, efforts conceded to further goals in the second half.
The visitors took the lead courtesy of an owl goal from Neil Silvester, who was making his first appearance for the club. Eddie Beedle other goals came from Ricahrd Howard, Matthew Carr with Michael Humphreys also scoring late on.
Goal of the game, however, belonged to the energetic Jordan Dexter, who finished a smartly by chipping the keeper after latching on to a pin-point pass from Stew Scott.
Hodgsons are again at home next week when they entertain Hall Road Rangers Reserves in division one of the East Riding County League.
