Orienteering Club To Restart After The Summer Break

The local orienteering club, (Humberside and Lincolnshire Orienteers) will be re-starting their regular Monday evening orienteering club next Monday (September 9th) at Longcroft Upper School.

The sessions which run from 6:30pm to 8:00pm are suitable for a range of abilities from total beginners to experienced competitors.

Most ages are also catered for, currently the youngest member is 12 and the oldest is 70, families are particularly welcome.

The sessions are a mixture of orienteering theory and practice and will also include some fitness work. All sessions are led by British Orienteering qualified coaches. Weekly fees are £1 for juniors and £3 for adults (reduced to £2 for members of HALO).

Meet at the Girls Gym at the Longcroft Upper School site.

This is the fifth year the club has been running and the numbers attending have been increasing each year, with weekly attendance normally between 15 and 20. There is still room for more members and new members are particularly welcome.

Further information is available on the HALO web-site www.halo-orienteering.org.uk or by emailing Neil Harvatt at neil@halo-orienteering.org.uk.
