Beverley Masons Make Donation To Armed Forces Day

Beverley Masons from the Constitution Lodge 294 made a donation of £400 to Beverley Armed Forces Day.

Event organiser David Elvidge who accepted the cheque from Brian Brookes said;

“This donation by our local Masonic Lodge reaffirms for me the widespread support Beverley Armed Forces Day has been given.”

“The event continues to receive tremendous support from across the whole of our community and on behalf of the SSAFA team, I would like to thank them all.”

“However, also at this time I think it’s important to look towards next year as we plan to commemorate the centenary of the First World War and to make this an event worthy of the occasion.”

“I would like to ask businesses and local groups if they would like to support the day by sponsoring us.”
