Beverley Building Society Back Epic Cycle Ride

Beverley Building Society Back Epic Cycle Ride

A group of lads have just set off on an epic cycle ride from John O’Groats to Land’s End to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign.

Aiming to cover around 80 miles a day the team of five 21-year-olds have planned the 1,000 mile route to pass through Beverley at the half-way stage.

To add a little quirkiness they have decided to dress in blue and orange Morph suits for parts of the journey to represent the colours of the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign charity.

The charity challenge was formulated by Law Graduate, Adam Kirk who aims to raise money and awareness for the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign after being diagnosed with the illness last year.

Adam has not yet been affected by the disease which causes progressive muscle weakness so he is determined to use his good health
to build as much awareness as possible.

He said:

“Obviously it is a cause that is very close to my heart so to have such great support from the local community is overwhelming. We’re all very excited about the trip, I’m sure it will be exhausting but the sense of achievement at the end will make it all worthwhile.

If anybody would like to donate towards the cause they can do so on our JutGiving page at www.justgiving/joglemd.co.uk

Michael Plaster, Manager at the Beverley Building Society said:
