New Attractions For The Annual Fire Station Open Day Confirmed

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service will be holding hosting their annual open day at Beverley Fire Station on Saturday 3rd August.

A family this year promises to be more exciting with new activities being added to the already popular programme of events.

Crew Manager at Beverley, Shaun Harrison said;

“This year we have the iCar simulator. It is a modified car that allows people to experience what it feels like to go out of control and feel the impact.”

All the old favourites will again be there at this year’s event. The spectacular chip pan fire demonstration and the exploding aerosol all make a return for 2013.

Humberside Fire and Rescue Service will also have kit on display, the high-volume pump, decontamination tent fire engines past and present will all be on display for the public.

Refreshments will be on hand too. A BBQ and cake stand will open throughout the day which is used to raise money for the charity Fire Victims Support.
