Beverley Classic Car Rally Relocation Will Impact On Business

Mark Clayton, manager of in Beverley has said the relocation of the Beverley Classic Car Rally this year will impact massively on his .

The Beverley Classic Car Rally which takes place on Wednesday 19th June has always pulled thousands of people into the town centre to enjoy the spectacle, but with the Saturday Market renovations, this year’s event has been moved.

Speaking with HU17.net Mark said;

“We and many others will miss out on a lot of trade with the event being staged else where, there is a not a lot we can do about.”

Mark, although disappointed remains quite upbeat, The Grapes that are running a string of offers like their two bar meals for £6.95 that include fish and chips, steak & ale pie and a curry lover’s pie added;

“There are a lot more events taking place in Beverley, the next big one for us is on the 7th July.”

“Organiser’s say there will be an open-air concert at the end of the day which I think will help keep people in the town centre which will be good for business.”

“At The Grapes we are looking at decking out the pub to get into the spirit of things and show our support and will be offering summer drinks promotions on the day.”

“We also have some special offers in place for the fans offering customers a pint of Guinness and breakfast for just £ 5.95. This is offer stands for each of the British Lions fixtures.”

Racing fans will also be pleased to know The Grapes have excellent coverage when it comes to horse racing Mark said;

“In the pub we have Racing UK so are able to show all the races from Beverley and other courses live. If racing is on other
channels we show this too, it is quite popular with our customers.”

The Grapes serve food seven-day weeks, Monday to Thursday, they serve from 10am until 9pm, Fridays from 10am until 7pm, Saturday from 10am till 6pm while on Sunday, food is served from midday until 7pm.

At weekends, the Grapes has a DJ, and they are already putting plans in place for the next Bank Holiday weekend which will see them stay open until 2am on the Sunday.
