The Chequers: Micro Pub Opens Up In Beverley

A new micro pub opened its doors this weekend in Beverley and is sure to give the lovers a of real ale a mouth-watering experience.

Chequers which is located in Swarbys Yard will sell a selection of Real Ales that will be changed regularly as well as selling wines and ciders.

Currently, The Chequers Micro Pub is open lunch times from 12 and then again in the evenings from 5pm but opening hours are likely to be extended.

The man behind the Micro Pub Ian Allott said;

“Trade has been very brisk since opening, and we have had tremendous feedback about the ales and venue.”

“Many people have commented saying that this is what Beverley needed.”

The way Ian describes the business is as a ‘Rolling Beer Festival’ he added;

“As soon as an ale runs out we replace it with another one. We only have one rule here that is to have one local beer and one local cider available at all times.”

Chequers Micro Pub welcomes well behaved dogs, there is also additional seating outside the pub which is helping add to the atmosphere in Swarbys Yard.

Prices range from £2.70 to £3.20 per pint with wines being sold by the glass or for £10 per bottle.
