Quickline, A Lead Sponsor Of ‘One Hull Of A Boat’

Quickline stepped up to help share ’s positive message around the world by becoming a lead sponsor in purchasing a P1 powerboat to race in the UK legs of the 2013 P1 Championships.

Altogether, the team has raised £24,000 to pay for the boat, a project which has become known as Hull’s greatest ever crowd-funded, community-led project.

The full amount has been raised and the Springboard team is busy organising for this weekend of racing (1-2 June). The races will be broadcasted on , plus the local news stations.

Steve Jagger, Managing Director of Quickline explains:

“We jumped at the chance of being a part of Hull’s powerboat team. It is such an exciting opportunity and we all believe this will aid the bid to become the 2017 City of Culture.”

“We are expecting thousands of to turn out at the weekend to support the race, giving the City a much needed morale boost.”

The boat will be unveiled by boxer, Tommy Coyle and Karl Turner MP in Hull’s Queen Victoria Square at 5:30pm on Wednesday 29th May.
