Lord-Lieutenant To Attend Special Service To Mark Coronation Anniversary

The Lord-Lieutenant of the East Riding of Yorkshire, the Hon. Mrs. Susan Cunliffe-Lister, is encouraging residents of and the surrounding area to join her in attending a service to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Coronation of this Sunday.

The service, to be led by Rev Jeremy Fletcher, will be held at Beverley Minster at 10.30am and will be a family occasion, at which prayers will be said to mark the special royal anniversary.

The Lord-Lieutenant said:

“I do hope people will be able to take the time to attend on Sunday to celebrate the joyous anniversary of The Queen’s Coronation.”

“As Her Majesty’s representative, it is a great honour to celebrate and give thanks to The Queen for her many achievements since she came to the throne, and for dedicating her life to serving her country, which she has done with grace and dignity.”
